Collaboration lies at the heart of science. That’s why, last Monday, we hosted a small symposium at Charité in collaboration with the Steel Lab and Naseri Lab, bringing together researchers to exchange ideas in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering.

With talks from Shanna Gu, Gabriel Abrahams, Stefan Hristov, Marco Corrao, Yating Zhao, and Jingjing Xia, we had the opportunity to learn more about the exciting work taking place across the different labs and to spark meaningful discussions and potential collaborations.

Fueled by coffee and cookies throughout the day, we ended on a high note with pizza : )

A big thank you to the Oxford Berlin Research Partnership for supporting this event! And big thanks to everyone who joined and helped organize it especially Lena Maria Hümmler and Marco Corrao for all the work behind the scenes. Extra special thanks to Steffen Lindner, Gita Naseri, and Harrison Steel for making this collaboration happen in the first place.

Already looking forward to the next one! ✨
