Hosting the Arren-Bar-Even Symposium 2026 at Charité in Berlin

02.10.2026

Few scientific communities are held together by real friendships. The Bar-Even community is one of them.

The annual Bar-Even Symposium came home to Berlin, and we hosted more than 100 scientists, entrepreneurs and community builders at Charité. People presented raw, unfinished ideas and talked about thefuture of our magical community.

In the interactive workshop sessions we worked on metabolic modelling, on turning inventions into innovations, on how climate and gender interact, and on getting science into policy. We also tried to think like a bacterium, with everything that comes with it.

Dancing and celebrating life and the Bar-Even community. That’s what it’s all about. ❤️🧬
