Jan successfully defended his PhD Thesis titled "Engineering Synthetic Metabolism to Control Cellular Carbon and Energy Flow" in Marburg. The whole Lindlich lab used this opportunity for a field trip, to visit colleagues and friends at the Max-Planck-Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology all closed by a wild celebration dance through the night at Café Trauma.
